Program Goals
- Demonstrate competency in specific content knowledge.
- Apply the scientific method to address specific scientific problems.

What can I do with a Public Health degree?
The flexibility of the major curriculum will allow the students to gain a solid background in general public health as well as the various specialization areas of public health (e.g., environmental health, community health, public policy and administration, epidemiology, health education, and global health). Students with an undergraduate degree in public health could also work in business, health communication, health services administration, social work, or law. This rigorous program provides a pathway to medical school and will prepare students for graduate studies in fields related to the health sciences, human services, and public health.

Pulic Health at Sea
Eleven students spent the semester learning about different aspects of the health and safety of cruise ships. Now they are taking their classroom to the sea.
Research
Participate in a foundational experience focused on health and science through extensive classroom instruction, guided laboratory experiences, and independent research experiences.
Internships
Connect with professionals through hands-on learning and internships such as: Geisinger Health Systems, Sanofi Pasteur, and Merck.
Connections
Students in science clubs participate in individual projects and observe group demonstrations, and attend various conferences and excursions.

SUCCESSFUL GIANT
Scarlet Pujols Recio, a 2022 Keystone College graduate, currently serves with the AmeriCorps-funded National Health Corps (NHC) as a community health worker. She is based at The Wright Center for Community Health Scranton Practice, completing a program that will prepare her to become a certified CHW.
